The Ramblings of Nana

The rambling, raving and ranting of me. Who am I? I am a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a friend, a rolldog, a revolutionary, a peacemaker, a new attorney, an overachiever, a slacker and a lover of shoes. I am all of these things and more. I guess you could say that the blog is just about all of my experiences in life, love and the pursuit of happiness.

Tired

I am tired of the following:

1. Hypocritical Republicans. The Republicans are the first people to pull the morality card, but they seem to be the ones who are getting caught with Congressional pages and committing lewd acts in bathrooms.

2. People from high school who I NEVER spoke to and/or liked trying to add me as a friend on Facebook. If you didn't see fit to speak to me in high school, don't use me to get your Facebook numbers up.

3. People who do not know how to keep an appointment or to bring the documents that I tell them to.

That is all, thanks for listening to the rant.

Love Yourself However You Are

Today while walking into Target I saw a pregnant woman. It wasn't the fact that she was pregnant that struck me, it was her swagger. Yes, this pregnant woman was walking like she was on the runway. She had on one of those cute pregnant lady outfits and was strutting her stuff. In my mind I gave her a "you go girl," and rolled into Target. She made me think about something my cousin told me a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about clothes, and I made some comment about wanting to lose some weight before I bought some article of clothing and my cousin totally stopped me and said, "You are wonderful no matter what you weigh and you can't wait until you do this or that before you live your life." At that moment I realized that I need to start living in the now and stop waiting until I reach that magic size or get that perfect job. From here on out I'm going to do my best to live in the now.
